Supporting Perinatal and Infant Mental Health

Nurture Network is a social enterprise, founded by clinical psychologists, which supports parent and family wellbeing throughout pregnancy and early parenthood.

Our Story

Nurture Network was founded in 2023 by two clinical psychologists (and mothers) who believe that the foundations for lifelong mental health start before birth. We recognise the importance of emotional support for expectant parents throughout pregnancy and early parenthood and the positive impact this can have on those parents, their babies and wider society. Every baby and every family is unique and will have their own personal joys, challenges and experiences. We hope that the information and support we offer can help parents feel informed, empowered and connected as they embark on their unique journey.

Meet the Team

Dr Tess O'Leary

Clinical Psychologist

Tess is a clinical psychologist with over five years experience working in a range of settings including mental health services, disability services and a number of Dublin hospitals. Before training as a psychologist, Tess studied law and worked in media production and financing for several years. After experiencing the birth of her first child in 2020, Tess was motivated - both professionally and personally - to create the type of perinatal support that she, her husband and so many other parents she has encountered would have benefitted from.

Dr Bairbre Fee

Clinical Psychologist

Bairbre has over five years experience working in a range of psychological services. She has spent most of the last seven years supporting children and their families within primary care, CAMHS and disability services. Bairbre has a background in human rights and is particularly interested in working with clients to ensure they are empowered and supported to meet their wellbeing goals. Her interest in perinatal mental health was prompted by her own experience of motherhood and she is very keen to work towards promoting the availability of preventative mental health supports for all parents in ireland.

Our vision and mission.

Our vision is of an Ireland where every expectant parent has access to the information and support they need to maintain their wellbeing when they and their baby most need it.

We aim to:

Create a network of emotional support for expectant and new parents
Offer evidence-based psychological education which will empower parents to feel confident and informed
Promote awareness of perinatal and infant mental health in wider society
Complement and support the existing perinatal and infant mental health care framework in Ireland
